Red Lounge movie nights are back!

For everyone who is looking for an evening of political cinema and inspiring discussions, the Willy Brandt Center Jerusalem is once again a place to look out for. Every third Wednesday of a month and additional events.
In January we screened “Can’t be silent”, a documentary about musicians seeking refuge in Germany. Afterwards our partners from “Heartbeat” told their story about music as a tool for exploring your own identity and finding common ground with others.
In February, the blockbuster “Selma” was the movie of the month. Following Martin Luther King’s non-violent struggle for equal rights, we had an inspiring discussion about Social Justice and social society activism.
Our friends from “Music in Common” honoured us to have the Jerusalem premiere of their new movie “From Madness to Music” at the Willy Brandt Center. With traditional food from the region and a Israeli-Palestinian music performance we celebrated the power of arts to bring people together.
In March, we are happy to welcome our longstanding partner Natasha Dudinski for a screening of her movie “Revolution Girls”. She will be present to talk with us about making movies and the importance of female resistance.
